Default Tire not mounted properly on rim

I'll take pics of it later, but I had a set of falken ziex 512, 195/55-15 mounted on some LS mesh rims and it looks like it isn't seated properly. The tire looks like it's popping our the rim by half an inch. This normal? Or did the lube guy mess it up?

Its most likely the wall that protects your lip. I've never had falcons but my yoko's had that. shouldnt be 1/2 in tho, maybe 1/4 inch.
It also happens when you put larger tires on smaller rims such as a 215 on a 7. but this isnt in the case of yours. 195 is fine for LS (which i think is 6)

Heres a 512 that shows what I'm talking about.

if youre talking about what i think you're talking about, it should look someone like a spine ramp. its a lot smaller on ur tire obviously and its not as long. ithere is a picture of it:

falken designed this so that it sticks out more so that when you might swipe a curb, it could potentially protect ur wheels from curb marks.

the falken tire has what is called a rim protector that sticks out about a 1/4 or 1/2 to protect the lip of the wheel so that it doesn't get damaged as easily....

If they weren't seated correctly, they wouldn't hold any air.

Cool, thanks for all the assurances. I just switched from a set of 02 civic se rims sitting on 195/60-15 to the LS's on 195/55-15, so they looked a little funny to me. I never got those tires before and put those tires on my gf's car and not mine since I drive 100 miles a day for work and I'd eat through those in half a year easily.
