H23-H22 clutch
i'm billding a H23 bottom end with a H22 top end to be turbo charged and I am hoping for a 1000 hp. so my question is whare can I find a clutch that will handle that mutch power and still be able to drive it on the street. because most that I havre sene are tourqe and not hp. but I don't know how mutch tourqe it will make.
so if you konw that would be great.
thanks

some kind of high octane gas. my plans are to have about 450-500 hp on 15psi of boost and about 950-1000 on 30psi of boost. the car I am going to put it in is a 91 accord ex coupe with a 5-speed.if it goes according to plan i'm hoping to have it done buy april or may.
.....uhhhh, yeeaahhhhh.....i dont thinkyou should be worrying about a clutch to handle that much. you should be more worried about finding a brain that will stick to realistic goals...
stephen papadakas' h22 civic only had like 630 whp or something thing along those lines, correct me if iam wrong.
there is alot of other things that you should be worring about w/ that much power. almost every thing on that build would have to be custom... no catalog build here buddy. my friends h22cd accord boosted at 30 psi only made a little over 600 to the wheels.... good luck cheif.

Ahahahaha, 15 yr olds and their dreams. Need to learn how to read and write before you come close to even 500 hp.
If you ever actually get close, Clutchmasters sponsors a 10 sec Prelude that belongs to Oaks Racing and the one they use is probably the toughest clutch you can get your hands on.

why do you people think that this is funny, it is no joke!! If it takes getting a bigger turbo that will make 50psi of boost than that is what I will do. I have read about a civic that made over 1500hp with 50psi of boost.
you probably should just log out now.
its obv by your posts that you have neither the understanding of mechanics nor tuning necessary to build a high horsepower honda...much less a "1000 hp" one. you have a lot to learn.

What parts are going into the bottom? Sleeves?
You are worried about the clutch? I would be equally worried about axels, mounts, traction (lsd, tractionbar, tires)
Keep us posted on the project.

the bottom end is getting sleeves and a 100mm stroker crank, with je turbo pistons, crower pro-billet rods. the top end h22 head with skunk 2 turbo cams, and skunk 2 cam gears, all new valves, springs, and titanium retainers. that is what I'm planning on but it might change. and for the trans, rebuild one with a LSD installed. stage 5 axles from the drive shaft shop.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Stop before I spit my drink out!
I'll send you $1000 if you make 1000 hp.

i must admit 1000hp is very unrealistic from a honda. even if you did make that kind of power. there is no way you could get it to the ground. as far as a 100mm crank. that is more than 2.44 liters. maybe you should research member 2point6 on this board. all motor h22. he has a 98mm crank and in the pass he has found out in order to have a lasting motor anything over 98mm is pushing it and asking for it.
