First, I would like to thanks for this nice community where all the same fans are gather together. It is awesome!

I'm about to trade in a car and with cash differences for this 1996 ITR. Just wondering what are the most important factors that I should take more notice of. Any comments will be thankfully. Thanks in advance

 

first, make sure it looks like this



after that, check to see if the motor/tranny is healthy (compression #'s, leak down). then check everything else like suspension, ball joints, interior, etc.

just make sure you test drive a few different ITRs before making a decesion. sometimes one will drive great and then other times it might be a dud.

Normally, a 1996 ITR has red recaro seats? How come some has black one instead?

 

i believe you had an option of either color recaro when the cars were bought brand-new from the dealer...although i am pretty sure the 4 door db8 itr had black recaros by default.

you should also note that the recaros in the pic above are aftermarket recaros, not the oem srd ones with the itr fabric.

 

I have test drive the car. The clutch feels a bit off, it is hard to control when running normal. But I was told that, it is an aftermarket clutch (don't know whether he is bs or not) How can I find out?

Also, I notice it after driving the car. There are a lot of tiny black dots that came out of the exhaust system, which stick onto the rear bumper. Anyone has a clue on why is this happening?
