Default Need to raise CRX, I have coilovers (have pics)

Hi, I don't know much about cars so try to "noob" it down for me.

I recently bought a crx and love it. Cost me $800 and it's been flawless. However, the ride is a bit to firm and I can feel everything on the road. It's on blue coilovers and lowered so much that I have to go extremely slow over speed bumps (we're talking almost standstill speed). When I bought it, the guy did not have the key for the coilovers.

I believe that raising the car will help me with both my firm ride and speed bumps. I've heard that with coilovers, its pretty easy to raise or lower but you need the key. Here's a pic of my coilovers:

So my question is what kind of coilovers are these? How can I get a key? and once I get a key, what must be done to raise it?

Thanks guys.

They look like a run of the mill APC set of coil-overs, more than likely the ones you can get at pep-boys. Your easiest bet to raise them is to jack the car up and take a large pair of channel lock pliers to the rings. I'd use a tape measure to make sure you get both the fronts matched, and then both the back ones.

As for the rings, they're the perch that holds the springs...kinda self explanatory. Raise the springs=raise the car.

i dont think raising or lowering the car would help since he has stiff springs, i'd replace with oem spring if you'd want a softer ride...

or replace with regular lowering springs without the adjustable sleeve

mine look almost the same, got mine off parts car.... what works well is get a flat head (to the top one... {after car is off the ground...} and put it in one of the slots and hammer it..... it will go kinda slow, but it works.... just use a dull one with a rag or it will go into it.... and then raise the second one.... (well, if you have a second one that is). it will be stiff either way because they are made to be stiff, if ya want something else, that only other option is to get something else......
