Need Input: RSX 6spd in EP3 / Clutch questions...
I supercharged the old hatch and I'm running into issues on what I want to do tranny wise. Can someone tell me if their is much involved in the 6spd RSX swap? The guys at ACT say that if I simply want to use a higher performance upgraded clutch I need the RSX Type S Fly wheel and if thats the case I may be more interested in doing the entire Tranny sway at one time and get that extra 6th gear.
Can someone give me input on the simplest way to either upgrade the strength of my stock clutch? I don't want anything massive im not going with insane HP numbers but id like to either go with the 6spd or upgrade the clutch on the 5spd tranny.
If I want to just upgrade the clutch in my transmission do I only need the Type S fly wheel and pressure plate a long with the ACT street performance clutch?
Thanks..

I depends on if the clutch is for the RSX-S 6-spd tranny or for the EP3 5-spd tranny. If the clutch is for the RSX-S tranny u can put it in the EP3 tranny but u will require the RSX-S flywheel.
Or clutchmasters makes a clutch specifically for the EP3 tranny so u don't have to swap any parts just the clutch and their 5-spd and 6-spd clutchs have the same holding power.

Just don't forget that, instead of gaining a 6th, look at it as getting shorter gearing for 1st through 5th gears. 6th is the same ratio (not counting the FD) as the EP's stock 5th.
Are you doing anything else to the engine (hopefully raising the redline somehow)?
