Default Looking at new Si's...

I dont frequent this part of HT often, so im going to ask the masses.

Right now I own an 03 SI and I like it but like most hate the lack of power. Im in the market for a new SI, but my dillema is: Im not sure if I want a 2 or 4 door. Ive seen a couple tests done in magazines on the 4 door and it says the car is noticebly slower than the coupe. Is this true or is it just magazine BS? Im contemplating the 4 door because I would like something a little bigger. Are the backseats actually that much bigger though? It doesnt appear to be that much of a difference.

So what do you guys think?

SI 4 door = 2,945 pounds
SI 2 door = 2,886 pounds

Thats a 59 pound diff which shouldnt matter much in straight line acceleration i personally like coupes but if you want more room the sedan SI is for you.

Some space specs compared to the 2 door

Headroom (in., front/rear)

38.1 / 36.7

Legroom (in., front/rear)

42.2 / 34.6

Shoulder Room (in., front/rear)

53.6 / 52.3

Hiproom (in., front/rear)

51.9 / 51.0

Cargo Volume (cu. ft.)

12.0

Passenger Volume (cu. ft.)

88.4

Seating Capacity

5

Just got the 4 door 07. Fiji blue. For a family of 3, what a great compromise( the Pilot or the Si?).Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Really, less than 60lbs. difference!! Wow!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I really do like the look of the coupe. I hate the 4 doors mirrors on the doors, and the front bumper.

i was reading honda tuning and they were testing out the sedan si and the new element. They said the only difference between them is that the sedan has four doors haha. the performance and handling are pretty much the same so i guess its all on what makes your life easier. Four or two doors.

thats just my .02 though

According to C & D the sedan was ~1 second slower in 0-60 acceleration compared to the coupe... ?

Yeah exactly alot of magazines have said this. That is one of the reasons why im having a tough time being sold the four door.

I think the 4 Dr. actually looks better than the 2Dr. The coupe looks a little squashed from the side, i think.

Black and white 4 drs.

i test drove both , i would say the 4 door feels a lil more loose, prolly cuz its a 4 door, the coupe was on rails .

is the 4 door a lil slower? yah , but, you can get that back w/IHE and the k-pro reflash

everyone is right, the dif is not noticable enough to say one is better than the other

If it's really a second slower to 60, I'd think that'd be pretty noticeable...

Sedan Si FTW!!! wait until you see the limited edition of the Mugen Sedan then y'all will want to trade your coupes for it.

Don't hate on the sedan just because the coupe's not special anymore.
