hey so im gettting a h23 head for my f22b. im planning on getting dual valve springs and titanium retainers and new camshafts. now what camshafts would be good for me. im also planning on geting new rods and pistons in the future when i save up for turbo. also can i do the h23 head swap without taking the engine out, because i dont have a engine hoist or whatever it is. i know the timing gear needs to be changed so that'd be my hardest part. any input would be greatly appreciated. also i plan on getting up to like 300-350 hp
i looked into doing this on my f22b1 block. yeah the timing gear has to be changed to an h23, but you shouldnt have to do anything to the motor to do that. also, you can do the head swap without pulling the motor. if you're going to boost it, def look into getting a set of arp head studs to keep the head from floating off the block. for camshafts, delta 272 regrind. that's about all i can think of right now ...

You will be using the H23 timing gears but you will need to change the lower timing gear on the crank. If not you will run into problems. Your motor can stay in the car for all this work, it's just like changing the head gasket. Ummmm You will also need to extend the MAP sensor wires and the IAC plug. I would suggest you do as much research as possible BEFORE you start the project.

of course im going to research before even touching my engine. im going to have everything i need to know, printed out so me and my friends can do it over the weekend. its not going to be for another month or two before i do the swap because im going to put in dual valve springs, tit. retainers, camshafts and cam gears. plus im contemplating on either hondata or oem gaskets. are there hondata f23 head gaskets? and what are some good dual valve sprigs and retainers, i've only seen skunk 2 and kms.
