rookie in a honda
my younger sister jus got her 97 ek, she was supposedly out with her friends, and drove straight up on to a curb!
when i showed up, there was brake fluid all over the floor and pieces of the disc brake broken in ten pieces!
it started fine, but the brakes were done (no ****) and steering to the left made this grinding knocking noise.
theres this arm that is connected to the top of the suspension and goes down to the brake that i need to replace but dont know what its called, someone wit some knowledge on brakes (or curb hitting
) write back!

Parts that may need attention:
Upper A-arm. The piece you spoke of.
Lower control arm.
Wheel bearing.
Spindle.
Caliper.
Rotor.
Brake line.
You will want to get the vehicle aligned after it is repaired. If the rotor was that badly damaged, there may be more damage to the car than just the left front suspension.
Bent chassis.
Damaged steering rack...etc...etc...etc

which arm was it exactly? the spindle/knuckle? I dont know if $100 is a good deal on a used one...
If its the upper control arm, $100 you over paid; you can get a brand new pair of upper control arms for $73 shipped.

How does this statement help the OP at all? This is useless banter that is always filling up this forum. As a matter of fact, this reply to your useless banter is not helping said OP either.

wheel bearings are probably throw off. when u get it fixed drive it around..see if you hear clicking/clunking noises when driving straight. usually at take off or when coming to a stop.

What?
Wheel bearings dont make clicking noises. And you hear them at speed, you dont start to hear them taking off or stopping unless they're really, really shot. They dont clunk either, they hum. Kind of like a woo woo woo sound.

Yeah $100 is way too much....I used to work at a junk yard and if you pulled it yourself maybe 20 and if they pulled it maybe 40. For one off a honda definitely expensive....But everyone has to make a mistake or two. I give you props for working on it...Good way to learn....The way we all did it, Right?
thanks guys that is the funniest **** I've heard in a long time
The best way I learn is doing it myself. You may get into it and find that you may need to replace a bunch of other parts, I hope not though.

Naw, according to some people they were never "noobs" or "had to learn."
They were blessed with a highly intellectual premise of cars FROM BIRTH.
I hate these people.
