you can, but you have to use the stock tranny. Enjoy.

keep in mind though, only the jdm black valve cover dohc zc will bolt up
in other words the olive colored valve cover(84-87) & the (86-89)d16a1 d16a8/9 cousins from the usdm integras will not
these motors will work in the 84-87 wagons though

I am really wanting to get one I think a nice a6 turbo set-up would be enough fun...too bad i don't think the drivetrain will hold up well

 

Everyone says that but mine held fine on boost.

have you not been paying attention on hmt? Leeds 4wdr 5500 rpm dry pavement launches

Mine wagon held up fine on 12 psi with many 4wdr burnouts.

OK I am on the hunt for one now

 

Just make sure you remember the motor you want to put in must have the mid-shaft bolt holes. I put a sohc jdm ZC in my brothers 88 AWD wagon I gave him. aftermarket headers don't fit, you will have to fab up your own downpipe if you keep it N/A because the transfer case sticks out.

 

i just picked up a 90 wagon today!!!
needs a hood and hg. thats bout it though!

 

I'm glad to see other people are working on SOHC turbo set ups for their wagovan's.

However mine is only fwd

Stock d16a6 with IHI RBH5 turbo running 8 psi.
Civic EX big brakes.
Tokiko blues/00 Si springs.
Roof rack/2" receiver hitch/600 watt power inverter.
