cooling plate for 5th gen accord
inspiration included.
I am making one out of fiberglass/aluminium after final.
since they don't make one with a slot for my Spoon snorkel/CAI

well what it does is it controlles the air flow to cool down ur radiator more efficiently. makes for cooler motor and so forth. but its not the drastic. well couple degrees. everything helps now a days.

and I don't think he has a 5th Gen Accord, I'm pretty sure he has a 6th Gen Accord.

^^What he said. The positioning of the grill makes an aftermarket cooling plate useless. You will simply be covering up the mout points of the grill. I guess maybe a sthin piece of sheet metal might work to fill in some of the extra holes and for aesthetic purposes, but other than that, the grill works fine.

I might have to check, some car have a Seal on the hood from the factory which does the same thing.

couple things you need to know.
first, air doesn't like to enter an area without exit, think of a pipe with the other end block and you trying to blow air into it. simply concept right?
now put that knowledge into the car. first, air enter thru the bumper/grill, it now has two choices, 1)go thru the radiator core(read: restriction) or 2)go on top and over the radiator via the hole on top.(less restriction). and air going over the top is air wasted since it provide no cooling power, this is where the cooling plate coming in, if you block the #2 passage, the incoming air will have no choice but go thru the radiator core thus using all the incoming air to cool down the radiator.
it works espercially on car that runs hot at track, like the s2000.

that would be the crappy Mastergrade, which is a total hit or miss company.
some badge come in perfect and in timely order, the next badge could be total crap with a year delay.
alot of company make a cooling plate for s2000, mostly aluminum and cf overlay fiberglass. But again, being a diy and poor guy, i refuse to buy one for 100-200 bucks
