Default Headlights flickering on my 91 hatch

I was just driving home from work in my 91 hatch DX and I noticed my lights were flickering a bit... I got home checked battery connections but they seemed tight but its dark so its hard to see... anyone know what this could be or has it happened to anyone else? If so, what was it?

Alternator dying on you? That's what happened to mine. First the lights would dim occasionally, then the radio wouldn't stay on, dash lights starting cutting out. Replaced the alternator and now everything works perfect.

Well, I got an alternator from AutoZone for 83.99, but there was a 55 dollar core return, so It was really only like 30 dollars.

Definitely your alternator. Not sure on the amperage rating stock, but 150 might be a little high, shouldn't hurt though.

not unless you got an amp for your stereo. just get a stock one you can find them used for dirt cheap.

150 is way too much for a close to stock car /stereo. stock honda is like 70-90 depending on trim levels.

I messed around with the car today... and its the switch to turn my headlights on... must be shorting out or just bad contacts? I shook the switch around and my lights flicker and get brighter and lower... so its definetly that switch... $98 bux to fix
