bad igniter or fuel pressure regulator?('91 sedan)
Its been about 4 months and so far about 3 times its done this.
the car runs fine. ill turn it off, put gas or do something that takes a few minutes go to start it and no luck, itll crank, theres spark, but it just wont start. five minutes later itll start up fine and no problems for awhile. its very random and only happend a few times i had no idea
a friend of mine who used to have a ef sedan said its probably the fuel pressure regulator or igniter i called up honda to see if the igniter was replaced under the recall and it was so i dont know. is he way off? because i have no idea what it could be
this is a bone stock d15 with about 150k on it by the way.

main relay or igniter. My igniter did the same thing. but would shut off on highway and turn back on. Wouldn't start and would have to sit and wait for it to turn over. I would try to resolder main relay easy fix, unless you have a spare igniter laying around. If it turns out to be the igniter i have one, will sell to you cheap compared to dealer price. pm me.
good luck colnago

You might be able to hear it sometimes but that doesnt mean its not the main relay.
As your drive and the car warms up the relay expands exposing cracks in the solder, so almost always the case you'll stop to do something, try restart and nothing happens.
If your desperate sometimes giving it a good thud helps, but for a permanent solution get it taken out and resoldered
