Default headlight q

ok well im on the fence with this decision. i am thinking about buying new headlights for my 07 lx. but i dont really know if i should buy the taillights at the same time. reasons being 1. will my car look bad with just new headlights 2. do the tailights even look good?

well heres a link to the headlights
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

here are the tailights
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

please let me know if i should just stick with the headlights or go for both. Thnaks

i personally hate altezzas, the headlights arent horrible but i would stick with oems and just clear out the corners, but a definite no on the taillights if you ask me.

If you or anyone for that matter has purchased those ebay headlights, PLEASE post pics and updates if they fog up easily or even work good. I love projector style headlights, but the cheaper they are; the worse they are. (sometimes)

To each his own, but for the amount of money you're paying on ugly, cheap mods, why not try something good-looking and functional, like a projector retrofit in your headlights with an HID kit or a LED taillight conversion? Altezzas were wack before and are so played out, the latest version of the Altezza (Lexus IS250/350) doesn't even have them. Not exactly the same thing, but you get the idea. All the more reason you should skip on em...

these are projectors not reg cheap mods hid bulbs are just COLOR effect while a real investment in hid is nice but i'd perfer style and still get projectors whch is better then hid now the best set up is hid+projectors = greatness viewing but 2nd best is projectors since they are "focused" then 3rd its hid

they are plug and play , you use your stock bulb and the leds and halo ring is optional ( the blue effect)

I got the black headlights and taillights on my Fiji Blue. No picture can do the headlights justice, well at least I haven't been able to take a good one anyway. My digital camera is about 4 or 5 years old and the light blurs when the flash hits in the dark. However, the light is crisp and the halos look great. They are plug and play as stated, and I wired the LEDs into my setup so they (along with the halos) come on when I use my parking lights.

I HIGHLY recommend the headlights. Two of my other friends that own SIs ask me where I got them and want them badly. The tailights are honestly pretty ordinary, I only put them on to distinguish my car from the other Fiji blue in my county.

I may try to take some more pictures tonight and see if I can somehow capture the light. Maybe if I get the pictures around dusk they'll come out good.

Oh, and the black looks good on a black car, or if your windows are tinted (mine are 20%). Otherwise don't get the black lights. And don't even consider the chrome unless your car is white or silver. Even then, I hate chrome, but thats just me personally.

the majority if "ebay" projectors are halogen and use smaller bulbs which minimize actual light output on the road.

As everyone here KNOWS... oem 9006's are already horrible to alter that to even worse = dangerous.

And for the LED tails...they are not designed with longevity in mind ...but merely asthetics.

I'm talking about actual light on the road, not "hid look from the projector"

i didnt say the aftermarkets were 9006
i said OEM 9006's wwere already horrible
to alter them is more dangerous

altering meaning swapping in quickly designed and "look" headlights.

Ebay headlights and taillights are generally junk, I haven't seen a pair yet on a friends car that didn't diminish actual light output, fog up as soon as they get wet, or last more than a year or two. Stick with OEM or get someone qualified to swap in OEM quality projectors AKA: Customlightz.

What if you got a plug and play HID kit and put it in the projector?

Would that work?

The quality of the headlight assembly might not be able to handle the HID kit.
