Default CRX DRLs?

I woas wondering if it were at all possible to add DRLs to an '88 CRX Si? Maybe like dimmed high beams that would turn off when I turn on the low beams (like newer cars). I was just curious if this was doable, and if it is if anyone has had any experience. Bear in mind I am clueless on the subject. =P

Thanks in advance! =D

Heh, I actually live in Canada and mine did not come with DRLs. Besdies, I was hoping to use dimmed high beams for DRLs. But thanks for the input!

My 90 Si hatch is from Canada. The DRLs are the low beams. The parking lights/ tail lights are always on also. The only reason I turn the light switch to on at night is for the cluster lights etc.

I installed a headlight beeper
and drive with my lights on
DRL's are a joke

they are not as visible as real lights and the rear of your car is not lit

sure you run your lights alot but I would rather buy bulbs more often than replace bodypanels

If you're adding them for the look I cant fault that, but why not put lights in that actually DO something as well as add to the look?

I'm pretty sure that in Canada DRLs were required by law ever since 1993.

And yes, I guess I'm doing it fot the look, sort of. I'm actually not totally sure why I want to do it, I just do, u know? Heh.

And I'd only use it in the daytime anyway (like they're supposed to be). At night, I would still turn on my low beams and whatnot. So i want it to work like real DRLs. When low beams are on, the dimmed high beams turn off. Otherwise, they'll be on (even if sidemarkers are on). I was hoping someone had already done this and could walk me through it.

i think you misunderstood the function of DRL. DRL runs at all times unless you set your lights at any other position than the off one, or if you raise your handbrake. They can not be turned off, they are ALWAYS on unless you turn your headlights on.

maybe i misunderstood what you said, sorry if i did.
