hey all im just wondering im prob going to get an 05 si from the dealer but am wondering what i should expect for insurance and how much of in increase from my 96 CX to this im 19 with one accident that wasnt my fault sombody veared into my lane and hit me head on so it didnt raise it any but what should i expect for insurance on the 05 SI
No one here has the slightest idea what your age, driving record, location are. Why don't you call an insurance agent and get a quote?
For the record, I'm 33 with a clean driving record. I pay around $98/month for full coverage on a '98 ITR, 2002 EP3, liability only on a '92 Plymouth and renter's insurance.

Very few if any people on this site are insurance agents, and even less live in you neck of the woods. Pick up that big yellow book or do the on-line "regressive" thing to get an accurate answer. BTW I'm paying about $640/year on my X type-S.
Also, since I noticed that you are from NJ also, that accident is still raising your rates. NJ is what is called a no fault state which means that they raise the rates of both parties involved in an accident. I have one no fault accident on my record and I am 23 and pay $100 a month for a 93 Prelude and a 94 Accord liability and comp only. Also remember that when you add more cars it does not make the insurance that much more expensive so I would be paying about $85 a month for just the Prelude with just liability and comp. Look to spend about $200-250 a month for insurance but like everyone else said, spend 10 minutes going to the online insurance sites and getting a quote.
P.S. Also remember that NJ insurance companies raise their rates if you have bad or short credit history so be prepared to pay for that too.

Ive had a credit history for about 4 years now due to me having a checking account with a debit card that had credit capabilities so credit history isnt going to affect it really. I am aware that NJ is a no fault state but no fault does not include accidents that cannot be avoided either way. She was taking up my lane and if i had gone over an inch farther towards the edge of the road it would have been a tree instead of another vehicle. In that sort of event insurance WILL NOT go up trust me its been a year since the accident and my insurance did not change from the time I started driving... 200-250? a month for how long?!?! my freind is driving an 06 SI. Is the same age as I am with a ticket and accident under his belt with full coverage and is paying 600 for SIX MONTHS of coverage so how do you figure 250 for 1 month of coverage? Im not being a dick here so dont get offended all i was really asking is what everyone else is paying for their coverage on an the EP3. I can do the estimate myself I dont need an insurance company to do it for me. Any way i understand where you all are coming from telling me to get an actual estimate except for the fact it wont be my own insurance policy here ill be under my mother and fathers insurance policy instead. Im not looking to start my own insurance policy untill I absolutely have to and quotes from agencies dont account for that which in fact due to you being under your parents policy keep your rates lower than starting your own policy. None the less thanks all for giving me wat your paying it turns out ill be paying $95 a month for insurance and $125 month for the car for a 6 year payment policy thanks..
