Rims not sittin flush with hub
so i noticed that when i put my rims back on this summer after having them off because they needed tires the middle circle is supposed to cup over the middle hub thing that sticks out the middle aint it ?
my wheel mounts on just fine on to the wheel studs and everything but its not cuping that middle hole thats in the center of all the wheel studs, that part isnt aligning straight.. its just sittin on it kind of crooked.... i know im not describing this good but i hope someone knows what im talkin about...
is that how it is or whats wrong?

Yes, the center bore (that's the big hole in the middle of the wheel) should fit over the lip of the hub, and the wheel should be straight, not crooked.
It could be a couple of things. One possibility is that the wheel is not on straight. As you're placing it on the lugs, wiggle it around to make sure that it's seated properly, and tighten all the lugs together at the same time (don't just tighten one lug without the others being on, but screw one on a little, then the opposite one, then another, then come back, etc).
Another possibility is that there is rust on the hub and/or wheel preventing the wheel from going on all the way. However, when you tighten the lugs (again, tightening all of them at the same time) and then torque them down with a torque wrench (to 80 ft-lbs), the wheel should tighten over the hub so that it's straight, not crooked.

yea i checked it and there is no signs of rust and the wheel used to fit fine on the car last winter... could it be that all the wheel studs got bent in a certain direction?
its off by a lot it looks like... about a quarter of a inch maybe just a little less

That's funny. Don't worry, it's a GOOD THING when a problem turns out to be that simple to figure out. It's all good...
