I have a '92 Accord, the hood latch won't work. The secondary latch grabs, but when I try and close the hood, it won't latch. I've probed around a bit to see why it might not latch properly, but no luck. I don't want to go ripping apart the whole assembly - wondering if this might be a common problem with a common fix?

try using a screwdriver on the latch to see if it will in fact lock in place when pushed down. There are 3 10mm bolts that allow the latch to be adjusted. It could be the cable is hung up and not isn't releasing the latch assy.[holding it in the 'unlatch' position] You'll have to really look for yourself to figure out this problem.
