Well technically you should be using 195/50-15s. However, I don't think going to 205s by itself should cause you to 'rub like a ****'. I assume you have an offset issue. Can you look at your rim and tell us what your offset is? Also, do you have any suspension modifications?

if its lowered then that is why you are rubbing.. you need 195/50r15 on that ride of yours.... 205/50r15 too tall for your application

205/50 to big imo for 15s on a civic. kinda thick if you ask me. go with 195/50 or 195/45 ....whatever floats your boat. you wont rub ...and if you do, roll your fenders

That depends on the year Civic. For pre-'96 Civics such as his '92-95, yes, 205/50-15 is too big, and 195/50-15 is the proper size. For '97-00 Civics, 205/50-15 and 195/55-15 both work just fine.

I agree with neri - the offset of your wheels is probably wrong and this is causing your problem (and the oversized tires aren't helping, either). Get wheels with the proper offset, and get the proper size tires. Right now you have neither.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

(If you see a number like +50 stamped on the wheel, that's usually the offset.)

it should say like et40 or et 50 for example when looking for the offset...it usually is behind the spoke or on the back of the hub
