Default bogging when reaching 3000 rpm

What's up yall.. New here... Anyway... Just wanted to ask you guys a quick question. Well, when I'm driving, it's okay. But when I reach 3000 RPM the car boggs (if my foot is slightly on the gas pedal) I notice the car loses power too. If I slam on the gas pedal, it won't bogg, but it'll acclerate slower. Some people say it might be ignition problems. I've replaced the distributor rotor, still doing the same ****. There's no ecu codes either. Can it be loose wires?

I'm having the same problems. My car was running fine, acceleration and all last week, but timing was way advanced. When I retimed it and adjusted the distributor, at 2.5K to 3K, it boggs down especially like you said when you just lightly touch the gas pedal. But when I punch it and rev hard, it doesn't...I'm taking it to my mechanic again in a couple of days, maybe he can shed some light to it and I'll relay to you all.

i say get a new cap and rotor, new wires, new plugs...and if that doesnt work..try a different ecu... or maybe it could be your injectors.. good luck

I'm running a d16a6 in my 88 hf. I did switch the distributor and the rotor. I switched the injectors, switched ecu to my HF, and it still didn't run right. My rpm idles a little, from 1000 rpm to 900 rpm... My redline is at 5900 rpm or so, so it's definitely not running the way it should be. I am basically stock, with a minor ported head. It's odd because this never happened before and there are no ecu codes either.

my ignitor is still good.. I replaced it too. do you think it can be the TPS because I had to replace my TPS because my old one broke?
