Ok so my girlfriend bought me the Mugen strut tower bar for x-mas (and since we live alone we decided to have x-mas early) now to the point. Incase none of you have purchased any Mugen parts before the directions come in Japanese and the pictures are less than helpful.

Best i can tell by the pictures there should be 4 studs coming from the shock tower area that it bolts to. well after looking under my hood i dont seem to have these studs. rather in place of where they should be i have 4 oval punch-out looking tabs. after reviewing the parts list provided in the box everything is there....so am i supposed to go to the hardware store and buy the studs, and then drill/punch out the holes? any help would be appreciated (i have a 99 ex or EJ8 for those of you who know your chasis codes.

 

it looks like you have the idea. you need to goto the hardware store and get them. cars like integras and stuff already have them but some dont. we had to do this on my friends ek.

Alright man thanks...i figured as much I just needed someone to confirm.

 

I think you can just take off the tabs with a flathead or your fingernail(they are painted rubber). And grab some screws/nuts/washers from the hardware store.
