Need a muffler for '92 Accord. What to buy?
Hi all, I just got a '92 Accord LX. It has a rusted pipe going into the muffler. I am going to need a muffler and probably the pipe that goes from in front of the axle to the muffler itself. What should I get? I don't think I need any performance type set-up. Should I just go down to the local foriegn car place and get whatever they have? help me out here.-Mike
factory muffler parts the best. plus muffler and b-pipe (longest exhaust pipe) have lifetime warranty when purchased through dealer
any local muffler shop can fix you up for under $100. But as stated above any exhaust pipe/muffler from the dealer has a lifetime warranty, so if you live in the rust belt, yankee land, where they salt the roads it's something to consider.
Well, I went to Advanced Auto parts and got the pipe and muffler as one piece-$85. Done and done cheap! I'll save my money for my Prelude. Thanks guys-Mike

Any exhaust tone is more than just the muffler can itself
headflow, cat, resonator, muffler, bents, head design, joints, etc all plays a role.
you can't just stick in a g35 muffler and make your honda sounds like one, it doesn't work that way.
