How did you prep the wheels?</TD></TR></TABLE>
1. Cleaned rims with 1:1 solution of simple green, let dry overnight
2. Removed valve stems with 14mm deep socket
3. taped up lip with 1" painters tape along the lip, covered rest of lip with 2" painters tape
4. removed old ssr stickers with a coin (lottery scratcher style)
5. scuffed up the face with 220 grit sand paper
6. cleaned off paint dust with microfibers
7. sprayed barrel with 2 light coats
8. sprayed face with 4 medium/light coats, 20 minutes between coats
9. applied sp1 stickers
the paint is chip and heat resistant, purchased through amazon.com, the wheels took (4) cans, most of it was used on the inner barrel (10.5" rim = lots of paint)... they're going back on Friday, should have pics then.
SSR's can be purchased in silver or athricite, these were silver:
There is also a full black version, the competition RS, but I wanted to keep the machined lip.

wheels look good, and I hate having my hatch at school for that exact reason. I am a Junior living in the freshman residential area (i'm an RA) and these stupid freshman could care less about someone's car
