I have a 1987 Honda Accord Dx. I got it a few weeks ago and its pushing 300,000 miles. It ran strong up untill a few days ago. It overheated , but there was no coolant so i filled her up and she didn't overheat anymore. Farther on down the road is when it lost power on the highway. It DID NOT stall, but lost all its "Umf". We had to pull off the highway because it went from about 65mph to less the 40mph. It wouldn't start so we towed it to the house. After a battery Charge it ran okay for about a day or so. I was Still worried about it so i woke up and went out to start it. It fired right up, i turned it around and moved it into the garage. It hasn't started since. I've checked about everything, Plugs get spark, Carb has got gas flow, Tried Spraying Started Fluid and it still won't start. I took off the Oil Fill cap and the Valves and Arms move when it cranks. It sputtered for a few seconds and died 1 or 2 times after i moved it into the garage, but i haven't got it running since. When I pull one plug and hold it to the block, the plug sparks and the engine almost starts but doesn't catch, unlike it does when all plugs are in. When everything is on correctly and in place, it just cranks at one steady pace with out speeding up or anything. Please help me out i've been trying to fix it for days and i can't figure it out.

 

did you check the distributer cap and rotor???

 

The car has 2 fuel filters, I would change those and also check cap and rotor.

What color is the spark?

I Checked The Cap and Rotor and everything looks clean a functional. The Spark is Bright white with a hint of blue, not as blue as i'd like. I'll go see how much some filters will run me at the parts store
