I have a 94 honda accord ex with a very strange problem...the key wont come out of the ignition. The only thing is it's a brand new key, brand new ignition lock. the very strange thing is that when my battery isn't hooked up the key comes out...if the battery is hooked up the key wont come out...does anyone have any ideas on this..

 

dude i just had the same problem... before you attempt to take the key out make sure that your car is in park. you will be able to tell it's in park because the "P" on your control console will be Lit. try that out..... be patient and do not yank or pull on your key....

 

I've tried that one a bunch of times...I have no clue whta this is anyone please?

 

dude the only thing i can suggest is you take it back to the place where they installed this new lock or contact who ever you bought it from and see about a warranty. the thing sounds defective

 

the only problem with that is I"m the one that installed this one...I've done this three times now...don't want to put any more money into it.
