I'm just curious if all your VIN's start with "1HG"? Honda of America maker of Marysville,Ohio facility? I dont think any 5th gen 2dr accord owners here has a VIN that starts with a J... am I correct? Only the CD5's (sedan).

 

My 97 CD7 starts with 1HG.

 

My 92 coupe starts with a 1HG too.

 

i have a 1997 Honda Accord LX Coupe and my VIN starts with a "1HG" and my friend has a 1994 accord LX Sedan and also starts with a "1HG"

 

So if thats the case... then the CD7 Accords that were made in Japan never made it to the United States.

 

i think all the 96 or 97 and up Hondas were built in the Honda USA Plant. cause around that time they opened a new facility to build hondas in the states.

 

I have a 95.

 

i think 94 have more japan made accords

 

All 5g's I'm pretty sure were built here in the states reguardless of where they wound up. I know for a fact that the 5th gen H22 powered SiR was built on the factory line right next to my underpowered CD7 Ex

Nah, there actually were some J-vin 5th gens they just aren't that common. For some reason I think there's more here in Canada then down in the US.

 

Yeah, its hard to find an Accord that starts with a J, Honda of Japan made. In Canada eh?

Yeah man.

Only problem here is they're usually pretty messed up from all the salt on our roads.

 

Come to think of it, my 6th gen sedan has a 1HG as well
