The Kenwood's no really doing them any justice.... Sell it (or use it for components) and get something like a JBL BP1200. The JBL runs for about $250-275, depending on where you get it. Then each sub will be getting 600 watts a piece and you'll be much happier.

If you don't like JBL, then a Rockford BD1000 would do the trivk as well, but costs more. Either way, you want an amp that maxes power at 2 ohms for your 2 4 ohm subs.

BTW, what ohms are you running your subs at???? The reason I ask is because your Kenwood maxes power at 4 ohms bridged... Are you running them at 4 ohm stereo, a sub per channel???

yeah, you are only pushing 100 rms to each max. thats really weak. considering the subs can take 4 times that.

with the OHM ratings for both, that amp and pair of subs dont go together. the JBLbp600.1 would be nice...600watts@2OHM. wire the pair of subs in parallel.

ok SiClone is recommending the JBL BP1200.1 and thisISmangina is recommending the BP600.1, which do i go for...which would be better for my subs...one amp is double the wattage...

id go with the 600.1
im thinking your subs are probably wired in stereo at the moment ??? if thats the case stepping up to the 600.1 should be a big improvement.

not to mention the 1200.1 will kick your stock charging system's @ss
