Spun bearing how long will it last?
If i just replace the bearing.
I know that is not the best thing to do but i need to drive the car for at least a month. so if i don't run it hard and try to keep it below 3000 rpm will it last me that long? from what i can see and feel the crank is smooth and the rod cap is not chewed up either. I know that some out of shape occured to either the crank or rod but what do you guys think?

if were me i wouldn't drive it that long on a spun bearing, you might get through the month and finally crack the block open only to find the crank journal fukd, which bearing is it?
its the rod bearing #2. and what i wanted to do is just replace it with a new one and drive it like that. until i hear the knocking again.
Now would any of u guys know how to check what color bearing i need? i see the code on the rod/cap wich is 2 but i cannot see the letter on the side of the rod stem so how else can i figure out the color code?

are you planning on opening it up anyway? if your you were going to replace one you might aswell replace all of them, it'll take you a weekend anyway
