I have these cams:


In this head:


They came on a B16 block.

I tried to find the cams in this thread (and other sites w/these same pictures): https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1220642 , and they don't have the exact cam I have. The guy in this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1758761 had the same cams (not sure if mine are stamped E and T though) and people said that they're B17 cams even though the B17 cams picture doesn't match up. So, are these cams B17 or what are they?

Also, what does the 4 mean in PR3-4? TIA

It's not, it's just the picture. I think it has something to do w/me putting it in the 'close-up shot' mode but I'm not really sure why it came out like that.

The head is a 91 or 92 B16 head.

The cams look to be from an automatic B16. They aren't worth using. The automatics have lower profiles.

I know that the head is off a 91 B16 but I was wondering what the 4 means, if anything. I know they have PR3-1 and others so I was just wondering if that last number meant anything.

Are you sure on the cams being from an auto B16? I didn't even know there was such a thing.

looks like b17 cams to me


minus that b17 cams got the upper grove on the top so idk..

What is the casting code for the B17 head? What difference is there between b16 and b17 heads? I just tried searching but couldn't find anything other than that the cams in the b17 are supposed to be bigger than the b16 head I think.

*edit - I think the b17 head is p61. But I'm still unsure on the cams. Maybe they're just a variation of the b16 cams, for the older generation?

a b17 head still uses a PR3 casting im pretty sure.. b16/b17 and ITR.. p61 would be the b17 ecu code

im still thinking those are obd0 b16a cams

but they have 2 pics of b17 cams and both are different

Hmm you're right, I didn't notice that. Looks like those pictures aren't too reliable...

What is the FF Squad? (just curious) And what else besides all the ones that they have pictures of could the cams be from?

After seeing that picture, I don't trust em anymore. They have another pic of B17 cams that are different.
