ok i am new to the motor section of HT so bear with me, i am usually just in the civic forum and A&C.. but i am in the process of getting parts together for my b16 build.. i have a b16a2 with jdm itr exhaust mani, jg edelbroke intake mani, 2.5inch straight pipe with magnaflow muffler and resignator.. by build is going to consist of Ctr pistons and rods, crower stage2 street/strip cams, skunk2 valve train, skunk2 cam gears, and password whale *****, tuned on s200.. is this a good plan before i start buying the internals? i mean, should i go with diff pistons than these, or diff valve train, will i even need to upgrade valvetrain with this setup?? thanks im a noob on this subject.. oh it will have a stock b16a2 tranny as well... my main goal is 190-210whp all said and done.. open to all comments and sugjestions in my build
my friend if you use b16b rods and pistons in a b16a block, your valves will have sex with your pistons. use regular b16a rods with b16b pistons this will give you approx 11.9-12:1 compression, i hope your states pump gas is 93 oct, that would make it nice.
pick up omnimans 200whp b16 build video to give you an idea of whats needed to reach your goals. http://www.intertune.tv
