Weird Overheating issue
Okay a little history first...car had a blown HG when i got it replaced HG and water pump/hoses and it happened again, ended up replacing motor and all hoses/water pump radiator etc.. and all has been working fine now for over a year..i even just drove it across the whole midwest to ship it to Hawaii... The other day i notice that my temp was at half way on the highway which is really abnormal. then it goes back down to normal. today i was just driving a 1 mile commute to town and it gets 3/4 of the way up on the temp gauge. Coolant is topped off everything seems fine. it was steaming when i got home today and coolant was a little low...so far no coolant in oil or oil in rad. what could this be? i am pretty confident it isnt a blown HG again cause it doesnt have the symptoms really. kinda confused. thanks
BTW sorry for long post

i replaced that two months ago..but they can go bad.....BTW i got this car not too far from you, in Chattanooga...i loved it in Tennessee, real beautiful countryside
:::UPDATE:::
ok i went to honda to get a replacement thermostat, installed it this afternoon and everything seems fine.....except for after like 20 minutes of driving i got in some traffic and it went up to about halfway real fast out of the blue then went down within seconds. what else could be going on??? hoses seem fine (just replaced last year) thermostat new...??? after i got on the open road again i drove it a little ways and no more overheating after that. was it possibly a delay in the fans kicking in or something? im kinda ticked cause i havent driven this rex in almost a month altogether(i dont want another blown HG). thanks

actually i did not use a genuine Honda water pump cause my dealership said they didn't carry that old of a part anymore (that was in Louisiana) i told them that probably a d16z6 would work and they were all paranoid something might get jacked and advised me not to use it. I ended up using autozone brand but the best warranty one they had. It may be the pump cause that is the most recent addition to the engine (september) but it did fine from Louisiana to Los Angeles and then crapped out now??? if so i am glad it didnt happen on the trip
