new exhaust
About 2 years ago, when I first got my 1996 sedan, I got a custom Magnaflow catback. The shop used 2.25 inch piping and a Magnaflow muffler. It sounds like crap. I am looking for something new, preferrably just the muffler since I already have good piping. I am considering an Es Oval, with the use of a resonator. I want to get a pretty deep tone, will this do the trick? I know that the Ws2 is a very good exhaust and sounds great, but to be honest, I don't have $400 to spend on it. Thanks...
p.s....motor is stock d16y7, but going to be an ls in the future

well mine is 22" long with an apex n1 style (known for ricey sound) muffler, if you go with an oval muffler 18" should be good, if you go with an n1 (any small) muffler then the biggest one you can fit would be good. do you have a header and high flow cat? cause that makes it really loud and thats why i recomend using the biggest one you can fit. it makes your car go WOOOO instead or WAAAA
i have a magnaflow 2.25" catback from them, the 15641 system, its pretty deep but kinda loud, i think it only has an 14" long 4" round resonator, and the can at the end, the muffler appears to be a 18" 6" round. I'm sure if I got a longer 22" resonator it'd quiet things down a bit. I'm thinking about fabbing an axle back with a 5x8 oval 14 or 18" long, should be quieter than the 6" round.
no header and high flow cat here, im cheap man and that motor is basically nothing unless you boost it...haha. I was thinking of going with like a 14 inch res.
