sounds like you need a new axle or to rebuild it.

sometimes the springs will move in their perches when you turn the wheel. not a pop more of quick "dong"

it just means that the spring is moving in its perch, its not gonna pop out or anything, its just pretty much annoying. as for a fix im not real sure, the one on my wifes car doesnt do it all the time so she has complained to me about it yet, if she does, i'll let you know what i did to fix it

do you have aftermarket suspension?

My Tein Type Flex suspension was doing the same thing a few months ago ... the passenger side front spring perch became loose and the spring was able to move around a little bit ... only made popping noises at very low speeds with a lot of steering input.

If you have an adjustable suspension ... I would check the perch and see if it is loose ... if so ... just tighten it down and you'll be good to go.

I had a similar problem coming from my front suspension and it was making a popping noise..i fixed this noise by tightening down one of my endlink bolts on my front lower sway bar...this bolt was already pretty tight but i guess these have to be tourqed down. i only got about a quarter of a turn out of it but it was enough to stop the popping...hope this helps....

you can try greasing up in between where the top hat meets the bearing plate. it worked for me

i just had this done, i ran over something on the highway though, i had a poping noise bc my strut was bent and when i would turn the wheel the poping noice was the spring repositioning itself bc it wasnt able to turn cleanly from the bent strut
