HELP with H22A swap in CRX!!!!!!
Im swappin a H22A into an 89 crx si and i needed to know what axles do i use, and will the prelude tranny work? because i heard bout some H2B stuff, using B series parts and what else do i need to know or look out for while doin the swap?
If your gonna use the h22 trans your gonna need to make up some custom axles. With the h2b i think they just use acura axles. This is a big job why the h in crx and why not a b?
I just spoke to a friend of mine from full-race and he said to stay away from the H serires soo thats what im doing. I knew itd be a headache but i thought it wasnt all that bad but ive got better plans now soo. but thanx anyways.
the H swap isn't that hard. and it has WAYY more power than a stock B. even a mildly built B doesnt dyno close to a H, i dyno'd STOCK JDM h22 with H22 trans 190 to the wheels. with just a cheapy header.
Haha - I've done this swap for my race car. Unless you know someone who's done it Properly, I'd be prepared to spend alot of money. We spent ALOT of time on it, with alot of cutting and welding, including the firewall. It's fun as hell to drive though - and there aren't many around compared to the EG's, EK's etc. Don't listen to people who will tell you the engine is too heavy - It's NOT at all! I'm still running standard suspension with no problems. But - This is a race car, not a road car so.......
