are honda springs universal??

Default are honda springs universal??

hey guys, i did some searching, but didnt find much and need help asap, my buddy has 96-00 springs and i was wondering if thier universal for my 89ef? i figured maybe 88-00 springs all fit? im puting them on tockico blues, help me out and give me some info. thanks in advanced HT members.

No they are not universal. Even if they did fit, your ride height will be all f'ed up because of sever weight differences between vehicles. Also, the later civics have more shock travel than CRXs. That means you could possibly coil-bind a longer spring on a shorter shock if you play mix-n-match...

Coil-bind = destroy suspension and/or chassis
