This is true. But in my case, I'd like to pick up a set of these 'knock-offs', and do a retrofit projector, paired with 6000K HIDs.

I would buy them, take out the gunmetal piece and put it in my OEM housings. That way you dont have any problems with the beam pattern. Ive heard that the EBAY lights dont put out a good beam pattern...... so doing what I just said may solve it.

Just a thought though.

The black ones don't look very good in my opinion, the gunmetal ones are probably the same as the JDMCarBoy CTR knockoffs...in other words, not OEM, but pretty much identical.

Why did no one reply in my thread but a lot of people in this one lol. Had pretty much the same question. Got some answers here

So it's best to just take the cover and "gunmetal" housing and put it in OEM headlights?

bump for more pics would like to see these gunmetal ones. Im planning on running a peakboost top mount so one headlight will get a hole cut in it and the other will have retrofitted hid so i can still see stuff the oem ones are gone and im not going to pay 3-4X the price for realy CTRs to hack them the truth of the matter is these headlights as long as you silicone bead them are just as good as OEM even fitment on my last pair was good the light seemes a bit scattered but they were ion ones with the coating i think thats where people get that misconseption so...

up for more pics gunmetal pleeeeeeeeeease
