Default ITR wing install

So I noticed when original ITR owners take there wings off, theres a black double sided tape that is underneath. DO I need this to properly fit my ITR wing and where and how much are they? Thanks for the help, even though I sound like a noob.

You mean number 6? It's cheap, I'd put it on.

Might sound a little far-fetched, but you just might be able to find them at a dealership.

You don't need them, but I'd recommend using them.

So the link I posted, is that the sticky thingy the OP is talking about or is that a gasket Ed is talking about?

Oh ok. I heard it was a gasket, is the double-sided tape just to keep it sealed?

Duct tape and crazy glue work fine for most of the stunners out there...

helps keep a nice seal and also stops the wing from vibrating and making a stupid noise

You are right. Buy the 3M stuffs from Homedepot, much better than OEM.

Keeps it sealed, as well as preventing paint from rubbing between spoiler and hatch. It also hold the spoiler on quite well in addition to the nuts.

FYI, Honda uses 3M for their emblems! Why pay dealer pricing when you get it cheaper by original manufacturer!

FYI... because its cut to the exact shape of the wing... thats why

I would rather pay the extra $10 to make it right instead of saving that $10 and having it look like ****/****** my car up...

It's 3M double sided body kit tape. That's it. No mystery, no fuggin up your car.

Get the tape, prep the surfaces, cut the tape to fit and apply, Voila. No issue, no hassle and as good as stock for about $5. and whatever you think your time is worth. I think it took me 15 minutes from start to finish to put my wing back on. And it's been there securely looking just like when I first bought the car for the last 4 years.
