Default Some advice.. =) Time Slips

Finally went out to the track last night, and ran a good 6 runs. But, bleh.. times sucked. Dont you dare laugh now! hahaha j/k you can laugh all you want ^_^;

Best run was 18.017 @ 78mph
Wosrt run was 18.457 @ 74mph

The time slips are below. The setup i was running was a 5zigen Fireball, and Intake. Is this pretty quick for an auto 95 RS? I just want to make this car a little bit faster, you guys think its possible to push in and maybe run some mid 16's? hehe alright guys, thanks for your help!

and heres the car:

Work on your 60 foot times...2.8-2.9 is horrible. Every .1 you take off, is equal to about .2 off in the 1/4 mile.

something is wrong because stock auto should run 17's try power braking it to get a better launch, get yourself a 5 speed and you will be much happier but on the up side your car looks great

i'd say save some money for a 5spd swap. alot of people are gonna tell you to sell your car b/c its an auto, but your car looks really nice, and IMO, you'd be better off with a conversion

haha ya thanks guys for the replys. about it being an LS or SE.. it isint. It really is an RS. The sunroof was added extra, power windows / locks was added extra, cruise control was added extra. all im missing is the ABS. Even added the stock spoiler.

In the situation of selling the car and getting something else, long story.. but i kind of HAVE to keep the car, cause we bought the car on a loan with my parents car, so now where paying on the loan, etc etc so cant really do much. If i traded it in, etc I would be paying on a new car and on the loan, so thats like paying on two cars.. lol anyhow, im really attached to the car, ive worked extremely hard for it, and ive kept it in MINT condition. It has 110,000 miles and still running strong, every service and tune up has been done to the car. I feel as if i were to give it up i would loose something. hehe Just kinda attached to the car. Like i said, i know i could get better times then that, and im not looking to go all out, just want to see some 17 - 16 or even maybe 15's with some few things.

What do you guys think about throwing in some headers? and maybe an AEM CAI? maybe some cam gears? this would probably help me out a little bit yah?

When i ran the car at the track, i had some bad, i mean bad launches. Horrible, so slow, im not really sure how to launch with it, maybe some of you auto guys know? thanks again guys! appreciate it.

btw - about the camry.. man i feel really bad about my car now.. whats going on here.. lol

whoa whoa whoa, yea he has to take his 60 foot time down...yadda yadda...but you guys see his reaction time? perfect is .400, his launch should be from there to about .800...thats a respectable reaction time...he has 1.5 seconds. -1 second on your reaction= 17's... .2 offa your 60"= 16's mabey..you just gota improve your launch...try putting it in gear..first or whatever u like to launch with,...hold break tight..and press gas like your guna powerbreak, but dont break traction....then when u see the tree start to go..and the light before last pop up(3rd yellow)...just floor it and let of brake. try that ...GL with the RS. (cough cough buy gs-r)

are u saying that his reaction time made him havce slow 1/4 times hahaha if u are and it sounds like u are well the time dosent start till u break the light so u could sit there for 5 min but untill u break the light your time dosent start.......r/t is only the time between the green light and you breaking the light on the track

R/T HAS NO BEARING ON YOUR 1/4 TIME

the reaction time can vary between tracks, a prefect at VMP here is .500 plus the reaction time has no significance to the overall run time

since its ODB I, the you should adanve your timing by moving the distributor a bit toward the back of the car ( i think, someone verify this). This will give you power quicker.
Also, as someone said, hold the brake and gas at the line, (so that power is built up) and simultaniously let go of brake and floor it toward the end of the third light.

just thought i tell u... that the next time you post your car pic... you should edit out your license plate numbers... shouldn't really matter that much considering anyone on the road can still get your numbers... but i guess it something to think about when posting online...

as for your car... it looks pretty nice... do you have any other pics of it? invest in a 5-speed swap or another integra with a 5-speed... that should increase your time a little... a supercharger on your auto should be suffice... if you want a good increase...

i'm not sure what method you're pulling, but just powerbrake it bro...put it in first with your left foot on the brake and right foot on the gas...shift through the gears(go to 6600-6800) and your times should improve...i've tried other fun tricks too...come to think of it, i've tried it all(open exhaust-really loud, but fun, slicks-don't ask why..ram air through headlight-actually worked, 100 and 110 octane and all sorts of octane boost-again, don't ask...

my car
4 door ls automatic
i/h/e
no cat
fiberglass hood
gutted
16.3's...

good luck man
