I've been using the magnetic oil pan drain plug for a couple oil changes (one of the cheapo ones). I don't get much accumulation on it between changes. I get some ultra-fine metal that clings to the magnet, it is so fine that it almost has the consistency of a paste when your rub it between your fingers, can't even feel it. A very tiny , tiny amount. Anyone else find anything on theirs ?

Yes, very, very tiny black magnets.

 

SnyperSiR usually finds tons on his drain plug....but then not many people have extended drain intervals in the double digits!

I also use a filtermagnet to keep things locked down....

 

well last oil change I ran 5w-30 Castrol, this oil change I am running 10w-30 Castrol Syntec Blend , should be interesting to see if there is any difference in the appearance of the drain plug, my driving habits are pretty consistent too.
