test drove a Fit today :P
It handles pretty well but damn do I hate drive by wire. very responsive steering was nice, felt like my gf's EVO MR. And it was an automatic so Id like to drive a 5 speed. I knew these things were hard to find but damn, my Honda dealership checked all of NY NJ PA and CT, and there are only 8 or so available and ALL of them are either on Hold or PreOrdered. And none of them are the gray color I want.
Were any of you guys able to get a deal below sticker? Or did you pretty much have to pay sticker or more? I know the salesman and he all he could do was get the "accessories" added and installed.

I paid the sticker price (MSRP) for a storm silver 5MT Fit Sport. Most people report paying MSRP, and some dealers are trying to get markups also. At this point, most dealers will claim they can find someone else to pay MSRP (or more) if you don't want to... and they'll usually be right.
Be careful with accessories... if the dealer will include something you actually want and it's nearly free, the accessories might not be a bad deal. Otherwise, you can probably find better deals on accessories online after you buy the car.
Regarding the driving feel... yes, the steering is good. I'm surprised the "drive by wire" throttle was an issue with the automatic. I'd assume you'd notice it less with an auto, but I haven't driven one. It's definitely noticeable with the MT... the revs "float" for a bit when you press the clutch. After some driving, it's not bad. It's not hard to adjust your timing for it when shifting.

I have a 5AT and I don't notice the drive by wire throttle one bit. Maybe it's just that I'm not used to driving an automatic.
Be prepared to pay MSRP or more. No dealer I know of will budge. I even walked out of the dealership and they didn't stop me. I had to sit outside and think about it and decided I needed a car. I tried to get them to throw in some accessories. Instead they gave me invoice on the all season mats, trunk mat and trunk cover. All necessities IMO.

Yeah MSRP is still pretty much the rule.
I have a 5spd and the DBW was annoying at first but you get used to it, and its not an issue really in everyday driving.
Im not sure if its a AT or MT but Gwinnett Place Honda in Atlanta has had a Silver Sport sitting out front for almost 2 weeks, which is shocking.
