Before and After: Stripped and cleaned!

Here's a guitar I got for free off Craigslist.org

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Spent about 2 hours stripping it and cleaning it up. I used steel wool to shiny up the frets and some 3M Rubbing Compound to take out fine scratches.
Pickups, tuning pegs, and fresh hardware soon to come!

How and why was that guitar free?? I love Epiphone semi-hollows.

I remember doing this to my washburn about four years ago, except I stripped the paint to the wood, and repainted with color shifting paint, didn't turn out too bad.

I don't have much money so I'm thinking of going with Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded pickups. Unless... if I can save up for I'd get the Gibson 52's...
I'm going on a guitar collecting streak
