weird smelly brown liquid under my 2 crx seats
i own 2 crxs one i crashed the other i just bought. something that i noticed in both the crx was a crusty smelly brown something directly under the seats. at first i thought maybe spilt coffee but it was the same in both crxs and didnt smell like coffee. it seems to be worse in the crx i have now. its really weird and dont know what it is but its not anything i put there...
possibly a water leak bro, really cant be much else. or a coolant leak that has somehow reached its way under the carpet and under your seats. but I dont know how common it is for honda heater-cores to leak...clean it up and see if starts again. im betting its water leaking in and gathering up the nasty stuff under your carpet.
Maybe the car is sooooo fast everyone sh*ts their pants
just playin

any time i've ever seen something like that it was either rust under the carpet staining through the carpet along with a leaking (causing the problem) or mold that formed from a leak

Water can seep through the fender liner too through the carpet...and since you don't normally get sunlight under your seats, water stays and rotts...kinda like leaving a wet sock under your bed
That's my educated guess

x2, Lmao
Seriously though, check all areas with sealant, you may well have water leaking in through the AC area, fender wells, windows, or a hole in the underside of the car, etc.

if they are Si's, it could be the sunroofs, since those teneded to leak. Depending on where you live, it could be rust related in the any one of the wheel wells that causes water to get in there.

What does it taste like ??
But for real , Rex's are prone to leakage in several areas. Only way to know for sure is to strip the carpet and interior panels then sit in it while someone soaks the shat out of the car with a water hose , or maybe run it through a car wash while looking. I'd use a flashlight for this so you can see better. Might even be cracks in the body joints in the roof (the ones under the black plastic strips) that is also common. But as the water collects in the floor area it is "dyed" by all the debris in the padding. You could call this a "tea bag effect" .
