Nice try.
Rule #1 - don't let trees spout out of the top of the subject when composing a picture
If you want to make the overhead shots look more realistic - try taking them from a lower angle with a lower f-stop. That way you will blur out the background. The lower angle will help make the pix look more realistic (unless you happen to have a hot-air balloon to take pictures from)
