Whats up everyone, so i want to change my pcv vavle and when i went to pull it out the thing broke off in the black box. how do i get the black box off, ive tried using needle nose pliers to pull the thing out and it aint comin. I took the only bolt i could see off and it wont pull off, how do i get this box off? Thanks

 

theres a 14mm bolt on the bottom of the box. You gotta go under the car to get it off.

there wasnt a bolt on the bottom of the actual box but there was one below it and it was 10mm and i took it off and it still didnt budge. Oh and my box looks different than yours

 

is this a SOHC?

looks like theres (2) 10mm bolts.

 

oh man yes thats it, thanks for the pic cause now i see the bolt im missing, its the 13 on top of the box, i didnt see it when i was trying to get it off. Im gonna try and work on it more when i get home, hopefully it'll come out. Thanks again

 

ok so that bolt wasnt even there, and i tried to pull on that thing and it still wont budge

 

did you give it a hard pull? if you took both bolts out, try prying it off with something. the tube that connects the box to the block is kind of a tight fit.

 

im gonna try, but that just aint alot of room to work with.
