Your opinions on this gasket (sabotage?)
I took my old oil pan gasket out and I noticed some cuts around the corners. Its was replaced in 2002. Look like the mechanic exacto knifed it so the oil will continue to leak, therefore bringing it back to get ripped off more.

if it took you 4 years to notice it i guess he didnt do such a good job cutting it...youre probably being paranoid...but let this be a lesson...do all youre own work
No I noticed it the following year since they replaced it. I still got leaks after that. But I ignored it for this long. Finally I decided to change it out myself. Now I have no leaks.
And how I'm I being paranoid? How do you interpret the pix?

Honestly, unless you are under time constraints working on your own car is the best thing to do. All a run of the mill mechanic has on you is experience and tools and both of those are easy to get. Nice catch though, maybe you should bring it in and tell them off and storm out.
