Default Dual exhaust to Single Exhaust.

Well friday I went to a popular exhaust place around where I live. I went there with the idea of eliminating my dual exhaust and install a Apex-i N1 universal muffler that I have. They told me the exhaust would hang about 3 inches lower than the stock one and that it would rub everywhere.

Now ive seen people on here with the single exhausts on. How do you guys do it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

So it is possible to have the single exhaust w/o having it hang to low?

well do have a exhaust from a Civic in which it bends to compensate for the Lower control arm? i have a T1R prototype from way back and it runs just like the stock but tilts and is a single.

Tell your muffler guy to cut a pipe into a bunch of short pieces and weld them back together so you can get a better fit. The lowest part should hang right after the crossbar, where the rear wheel line would be so you won't scrape. In the end it looks something like this. Ignore the paperweight.
