Default Soon to own an R?

I just sold my 00 gsr and I've wanted a Type R for years, and while I'm still young and have the chance to own one I would like to take advantage of it. But at the same time I look at prices of 01's with low mileage and I look at the new 07 Si. I lean more towards the Si because it is less likly to be stolen, and it is a brand new car for around the same price of the lower mileage R. At the same time, a Type R is a Type R the limited production, performance and all the other good stuff in it's claim to fame.

What I'm saying is I can't make up my mind and I would just like some opinions from fellow R owners as far as theft and buying a used one as to going and buying a brand new Si or Type S

Honestly, if I had to choose between an Si or an R to drive daily and tune... I'd have the new Si.

The Type-R's a great car though, I love mine.

Type-R's won't be around for much longer, i'd buy one and enjoy it while they're still with us

im rocking my ITR as a DD and it's fine...worse comes to worse you can sell the ITR if you dont like it, there will never be a decrease in people who want to own one...

Also think about resale value. ITR value is staying steady, if not climbing. With a new car, the value drops the second you buy it. The ITR is a better choice for feeling safe about the option of selling incase you run into financial problems. New cars are sooooooo nice, though.

It's all up to you, man. Keep us informed.

^ Exactly... you know if you buy an R and later find out that its not for you.. you will have no problem selling it for what you paid if not make some money. Buy a new civic and 5 grand down the tubes as soon as you drive it off the lot.
