The ATTS light will always come on when you get a check engine light. Have you read the codes?

I chirp 2nd in my SH and have never had a problem with the light coming on. The only time it's ever come on is when I was turning.

My ATTS light came on recentlly, I went to the dealership to get it looked at. The deal scaned and found 4 faults, they all pointed them at the ATTS control unit. they are asking $1,212.72 out the door for the repair. I called around and found a ATTS control unit for $300 and a shop that is charging $45 to install it. So I am very happy about that, it is scheduled to be taken care of Dec 20th so i will post if it was a good fix or not.

The dealer told me the same thing when i had a problem to change the atts computer all i did was reset the computer by unhooking the battery for a day and it has been fine since for over 15k miles so try that first

ok guys heres the deal... ATTS is a lil pain in everyones *** unit over the left axle that during a corner sends the outside wheel 80% more toque...the light can come on for a number of reasons, the sensors are very sensative and i had a broken one that caused my light. I definatly say get it looked at and at least see the code in it... the light is only stayin off until the computers memory is reset after they clear the code, then its back on.... so there must be a problem somewhere.

Yeah, I have had the light come on a few times. Most of the time a pull of the negative battery terminal will reset the light.

The last time it came on, I actually had an axle going bad. Now this wasnt the CV joint/boot it was the f-in axle. Some nasty noises were coming from the area where the ATTS unit is. Both myself and the dealer thought it was the ATTS unit cause of the codes 62, 42 and 79. So instead of paying the dealer $3500 for a new one, I found one from a junk yard for $250. After an 8hr installation (which i could probably do in 3hrs now) the car was still making a noise with the ATTS light on again. Eventually I replaced the passenger side axle and now its good to go. And my new-ish ATTS unit only has 65k miles on it. Oh how I love to hate my SH.

Just know that the ATTS is a testy little bitch. Even when I diagnosed the codes, the cause was an axle not ATTS unit. Just took $$$ and time to figure that out. goodluck
