just bought a93 dx with 97 dx hb y7 swap the swap was half done it still has p06 ecu& harness the came with another harness ,it has three gray one blue and agreen i have bought five ecus claiming to fit a dx is it the new harness or what

 

if you are using the ecu that came from the y7 it is obd-II your 93 dx is obd I. you will need a conversion harness to hook an obd-II ecu up to and obd-I car

 

the p06 ecu and harness are in the car yet i am waiting for an ecu before swapping . also miwould like to convert to a obd1ecu p28, 30 or 72 will my p06 harness work if it will i willscapp the new harness

 

if you want obd1 just stick with your p06, BUT make sure to swap to the Y8 injectors or you will be running a little lean at the very least.

best bet would be to chip your p06 with a Y7 basemap/romdump.

 

for your stock p06 +$55 i can send you a socketed one and you can get it chipped at your local tuner.

 

il ive in bfe i dont have a local tuner shop the closest one is 250 miles away and the dont know dick itook my big block toem , iwill get another p06 and send it to ya .

i have a 94lx with the y7 swap and the p06 ecu in it. i am turbo and ecu is chipped now, but before turbo and chipped, it ran fine but what i did was used the b7 intake and distributer, and that's it. if you can get right intake and distributer, you will not have to cut and splice any wires, and you can use the y7 without any problems.

i did the same thing. threw the b7 dizzy and intake manifold on the y7 and called it a day. everything becomes plug and play.
