I purchased a b16a head and noticed some of the journals were worn and had grooves in them. I was wondering if this is repairable or not. Is it also worth it to do so if possible? I did a search and didnt get much feedback. Just want to know if it is worth keeping or returning for my money back. Any help/opinions would be great.
**I purchased the head for $300 with everything but manifolds and dizzy**
There are about 3 journals in this condition.

Fairly deep grooves.

Pictures are too blurry to tell but it could be normal wear, as they tend to look odd stock. I say if its not deep enough to catch your finger nail let it alone. Last resort it could be sent off to ENDYN and be line honed.

So should I return it for a refund...or it might be worth it to get it machined? For 300 bucks im not sure.. How much you think it will cost to get it fixed?

I agree 100% unless it was already ported... Then it might be worth sticking some money into.
