88 to 91 tail light conversion

has anyone done the conversion? is the only thing that needs to be changed is the four wires that go into the square plug need to be swapped over to the rectangle plug?

just swap the lights, and keep the wires stock

you can remove ur wiring from ur old tail lights and swap them into ur 91 style tail lights

i know that will fit but there is also a rectangular plug in the middle of the two bulbs, dunno what to do about that, does it matter if i plug that up?
